1. Introduction

Welcome to Logtrace, an audit trail and logging platform designed to help organizations record, monitor, and analyze system events and activities.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Logtrace website, platform, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Logtrace (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

To use Logtrace, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or
  • Be legally authorized to represent an organization entering into this agreement.

By using the Service, you represent that you have the authority to bind your organization to these Terms.

3. Description of the Service

Logtrace provides tools for:

  • Recording and storing system logs and audit trails
  • Monitoring activity across applications and systems
  • Detecting security, compliance, and operational events
  • Integrating logging infrastructure through APIs and SDKs

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of Logtrace, you must create an account.

You agree to:

  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

Logtrace is not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorized account access caused by your failure to secure credentials.

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform
  • Use the Service for malicious surveillance or unlawful monitoring
  • Upload data that violates privacy or intellectual property rights

You retain ownership of all logs, events, and other data you submit to Logtrace (“Customer Data”).

By using the Service, you grant Logtrace a limited license to:

  • Analyze

Customer Data solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring that your data collection and logging practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.

7. Data Protection and Privacy

Logtrace processes data in accordance with applicable laws, including the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 of Uganda.

Our data handling practices are described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data submitted to the Service is collected and processed lawfully.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Maintenance
  • Infrastructure failures
  • Security incidents
  • Events beyond our control

9. Fees and Payments

If you subscribe to a paid plan:

  • Business interruption

arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service during the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You fail to pay required fees
  • Your use poses a security or legal risk

You may terminate your account at any time by discontinuing use of the Service.

Upon termination, access to stored data may be removed after a reasonable period.
